Amphenol Expands UPT Connector Series with New 12-Pin Configuration

The new configuration combines a durable plastic shell with a metal coupling system and crimp contacts. This construction is intended to provide a practical alternative for applications where a rugged connection is required without the weight and cost associated with traditional full metal-shell connectors.
Twelve Contacts in a Compact Circular Design
The new UPT connector features 12 size 16 contacts, allowing several electrical circuits to be integrated into a single connector interface. Consolidating connections can simplify equipment wiring and reduce the number of separate connector assemblies required.

The connector supports current ratings of up to 13 A and operating voltages of up to 250 V AC. These ratings make it important for designers to consider the electrical requirements of each circuit, the total load, wiring conditions and the specific installation environment when selecting the connector.
